About two fish
It started with a girl, her mom's sewing machine, and used coffee sacks. The initial design came from my friend who created the bags with her husband. After some experimenting and encouragement from her, I began creating my own bags.
The name "two fish" has a double meaning. Not only does it stand for my husband and I (who affectionately call each other fishy), but it also comes from part of the Bible:
"Then He [Jesus] commanded the multitudes to sit down on the grass. And He took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to heaven, He blessed and broke and gave the loaves to the disciples; and the disciples gave to the multitudes." Matthew 14:19
Jesus used the little materials that were available from a boy's lunch to feed a multitude. Likewise, He can take the little that I have and bless, break, and multiply. Through trial and error and inspiration from the Lord, these bags have been created. No two bags are the same since each is made with different canvas patterns and recycled burlap coffee sacks.
